What's New

May 12, 2008: MER Release 16 includes data acquired on sols 1261 through 1350 for both rovers. New data for all data sets are now online, with these exceptions:

• APXS Elemental Abundance data, Atmospheric Opacity data, and Rock Abrasion Tool data for this release have not yet been delivered to PDS.
• The MER Project has discontinued the Radio Science experiment because the small amount of data that could be recovered had little science value. No more Radio Science data will be released.

Ways to access MER data

• The MER Analyst's Notebook is for scientists familiar with MER who want details of the science observations.
• The Planetary Image Atlas is for users who are looking primarily for image data.
• The Geosciences Node MER online data repository provides direct links into those MER data sets that reside at Geosciences.
• Other MER data sets reside at the Imaging Node, Atmospheres Node, and NAIF Node.
• The PDS Data Set Search Page is a top-level search of MER data resources throughout PDS, including the above items.
